How to Use the Curl Identifier
You’ve probably seen the charts — 2A, 3B, 4C — and while curl type can tell you something, it doesn’t tell you everything.
This isn’t about what your curls look like. It’s about what they need.
The Curl Identifier was designed to help you spot the hidden patterns behind your hair’s behavior — dryness that keeps coming back, curls that fall flat, styles that don’t last — things curl type alone can’t explain.
Each question highlights a different layer of your hair’s story: moisture balance, styling habits, environment, and daily wear. These are the pieces that affect your routine the most — and they’re often overlooked.
There are no wrong answers here. Just clues.
So read slowly, answer honestly, and pay attention to what shows up more than once.
You’ll start to see your curls more clearly — and what they’ve been asking for all along.
